Profile of Keith F. Hunting, CPA - Managing Partner

Keith Hunting grew up in the San Jose area and is a graduate of Cupertino High School and a cum laude graduate of Santa Clara University with a B.S. in Accounting. Keith joined the audit department of the fast paced San Jose office of the international firm of Ernst & Young directly out of college in 1984. He spent over five years and was eventually promoted to audit manager with Ernst & Young while performing a variety of audits in the San Jose area, including high technology, manufacturing, non-profit organizations, and health-care.

Keith and his wife started a family in 1989 and decided to raise their children in a more family oriented environment, so they chose Redding. Keith accepted a position with D. H. Scott & Company in 1989. He became a partner in 1995. His primary areas of interest and expertise are general business consulting for the firm's wide variety of clients, primarily in the medical field and the construction industry. Keith is also primarily responsible for the firm’s quality control in the accounting/auditing division.

Keith is involved in a variety of community and volunteer activities. He serves on the Board of Directors and Finance Committee of Northern Valley Catholic Social Service, the Board of Directors of the Shasta Builders' Exchange and the Board of Directors of Nor Cal Think Pink.

On a personal note, Keith enjoys spending time with his family, boating, camping, coaching youth sports and all outdoor activities. He is also an active participant in the Northern California Adult Soccer League.
